Veterans Supportive HousingBack To Projects

Housing Idaho Veterans

Together Treasure Valley, a collaboration of area businesses, continues to invest in our communities and pledged $50,000 in 2018 to match a Veterans Housing Project fundraiser. By matching donations dollar for dollar up to $50,000, the Together partners committed to helping homeless veterans in our community find a safe place to live.

The Home Partnership Foundation launched a fundraising campaign seeking community support to help house those that have bravely served this country. The funding was for support of the development of a new housing facility to provide a lower-barrier or “housing first” model alternative for our veterans in need of services and support to overcome the issues that may have led to their homelessness.

That housing facility, Valor Pointe, opened its doors to the community’s most vulnerable veterans in 2020.  The apartment complex has 26 units for veterans plus one more for a live-in a manager. It is an all-in-one community, including health care services, mental health counseling, and substance-abuse treatment, as well as facilities for gardening, fitness, learning spaces, and more.
