Delta Dental of Idaho
Greg Donaca, President and CEO

A friend is considering moving to the Treasure Valley. What’s your elevator pitch on why they should?

I like to tell newcomers about “Boise nice.” The people here are friendly and caring and you just can’t find that anywhere. It goes without saying that one of the largest draws to the area is the close proximity to outdoor activities without the crowds.

What’s your favorite piece of public art and where in the world is it?

The Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial off the greenbelt. I really appreciate that piece of art.

What’s your go-to book to give a friend?

The Hiker’s Guide to Greater Boise.

If you could change one thing about the Treasure Valley, what would it be and why?

I’d like to see more public transportation offered and used.

What is the one thing about the Treasure Valley you would never change?

Again, the honest, friendly, and caring people here can’t be beat.

One of our area’s treasures is the outdoors. What’s your favorite thing to do here?

I love to visit McCall and do some hiking, boating, and motorcycle riding up there.

What makes the Treasure Valley a treasure?

In addition to the people and the outdoors, I’m always impressed by the quality of the arts and entertainment offered within a city of this size.

What “hidden gems” have you discovered living here?

The outdoor music venues are fantastic. From the concerts at the Botanical Gardens in Boise’s east end to Ste. Chapelle Winery in Caldwell. What a great way to spend a summer night.

What energizes your business team to work together to support the community?

At Delta Dental of Idaho, we’re all about improving access to dental care because your oral health contributes to your overall health. We get to see the impact of our community outreach programs in a very tangible way: through the healthy smiles and thanks we receive.

What lasting impression do you hope Together Treasure Valley will have?

Together Treasure Valley is a manifestation of people who care. I hope to maintain our reputation for caring about one another and preserve our quality of life as we experience continued growth and prosperity in this region.

Name one local business leader you most admire, and tell us why?

I admire Ann Heilman, the Director of The Learning Lab. The organization she runs is dedicated to teaching both children and adults to read and write in English. They are currently serving students from 43 different countries. That’s impressive.

What positive feedback has your company received about Together Treasure Valley?

The variety of community improvements supported by TTV add value to the valley’s overall appeal for residents and visitors alike.
